The Jersey Wooly rabbit (also known as the Dwarf Angora rabbit) is our speciality here at HopUpon. This is a small breed of rabbit with an average adult weight of 1-1.5 kg, however we have bred Jersey Woolies who has grown as small as only 800g. Jersey Woolies have a small body, large head, small upright ears, large eyes and a long low maintenance coat. (See the first 2 pictures on the left.) The Netherland Dwarf rabbit is the smallest breed of rabbit in the world. Their adult weight can vary between 800g- 1.5kg. As in the case of the Jersey Wooly, this rabbit has a small body, large eyes and head, and small upright ears. This is a short coat breed and thus requires less grooming than the long coat breeds. (See the 3rd picture on the left.) The SA Angora is South Africa’s very own breed of Angora rabbit, derived from the English Angora rabbit. This a large breed rabbit with an average adult weight of 2.5- 4 kg. This rabbit has an extremely long woolly coat and may require occasional grooming. These rabbits make great pets and tend to have very lovable personalities. (See the 4th picture on the left.) The Blanc de Hotot rabbit is a French breed and is one of the rarest rabbit breeds worldwide with only a few left. This is a medium sized rabbit with relatively long ears and on average weighs 2-3kg. The breed has a wide chest, short neck and well-muscled fore- and hind-quarters. This breed is always white with a fabulous black circle around the eyes which looks like the rabbit is wearing eyeliner. (See the 5th picture on the left.
